My name is Matteo Succi aka Svccy, I am a digital artist and graphic designer. My passion for visual art began in 2016 when I started creating my first images with Photoshop through the technique of digital collage art. Then I start experimenting with the processing of images through 3D graphics programs, which I still use and study today. The art I make is inspired by the visual current Vaporwave / Aesthetics born and developed online between 2011/2012. The genre is characterized by the use of nostalgic themes of the 80s and 90s of operating systems for computers and video game consoles, Roman busts, abandoned shopping malls, elements of the Japanese culture all seasoned with the use of shades on purple / pink. Unlike the pictures classic of the genre, I tend to a more obscure and introspective variant. My images reflect the human condition in today's society. The human figure is represented by often faceless or statues covered by objects, which symbolize the total lack of identity of the individual, subjugated by technology and the ultra consumer society. The reality in which man lives is inauthentic and unreal based on behavioral models imposed by the mass media, whose lifestyles are controlled through fashion e advertising, making us believe we are living a free and self-determined life when in reality he is alone an illusion. The modeling of a unique identity is promised when in reality a unique one is imposed model to conform to it in a serial manner.
