Description

This work is part of a series inspired by the cuentos and pueblo Indian (Hopi & Zuni) story dances from my youth. As an adult, I can only grasp parts of lengthy narratives so characters are conflated and blurred as is my memory of them. Using AI I attempted to describe some of the stories with prompts, then curate the outputs down to one composition that closely aligns with my recollections. The scenes are embellished with drawn lines and artifacts in an attempt to further color the story. The viewer can draw their own conclusions about what tale is unfolding – in that way, I love playing with my memories while others project their own.
